Today, the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh are made up of four creative, inspiring, thought-provoking places of exploration: Carnegie Museum of Art, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Carnegie Science Center and The Andy Warhol Museum.

Each of these distinctive institutions help to educate young people while also attracting lifetime learners of all ages. They are the largest, most far-reaching cultural organization in the Pittsburgh region and are known throughout the world for their vast art and scientific collections and scientific research.

The Carnegie Museum of Art is home to the Carnegie International, which is the oldest exhibition of international contemporary art in the United States and the second-oldest collection in the world.

The Carnegie Museum of Natural History collects and cares for specimens and artifacts that document the history of life and human cultures. For example, “Dinosaurs In Their Time” is the first permanent exhibition in the world to feature scientifically accurate, immersive environments spanning the Meso- zoic Era-the Age of Dinosaurs.

The Carnegie Science Center and the Buhl Planetarium came together on the North Shore, in 1991, to create a new home for the Planetarium and open one of the most fun and interactive science experiences to be had anywhere.

The Andy Warhol Museum is the most comprehensive single artist museum in the world. It is a vital forum in which diverse audiences of artists, scholars, and the general public are galvanized through creative interaction with the art and life of Andy Warhol.
