#Neverthelesspersist at Tavern On The Green - Dining
NYC Women's March Specials
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Stop by Tavern on the Green while attending the NYC Women's March, this Saturday, Jan. 19th!
Central Park's Tavern on the Green will open it's normally seasonal park-facing To Go Window from 8am - 12pm to help Women's Marchers (and passers by) beat the frigid weather and fuel up with hot coffee, tea and grab-and-go breakfast items. 100% of the proceeds from the To Go Window on this day will be donated to Planned Parenthood. For those who want to stay warm inside before the march kicks off along Central Park West, or celebrate after, Tavern will also be offering the Persistence Potion, a refreshing cocktail of Strawberry and Raspberry Purees, Lemon Juice, St Germain and Prosecco ($14) in their bar room and for brunch-goers all Saturday. A portion of proceeds from the cocktail's sales will also be donated to Planned Parenthood, in support of all the amazing women who 'nevertheless persist' every day.
About Tavern on the Green:
Tavern on the Green is a Central Park staple, the historic Tavern on the Green has been capturing the spirit of New York City since 1934. In 2014, co-owners Jim Caiola and David Salama (previously of Beau Monde and L’Etage in Philadelphia) re-opened Tavern with a completely redesigned space and menu that harkens back to the original landmark featuring warm, celebratory dining spaces, seasonal American fare, classic cocktails, and a robust wine list. Jim and David selected Bill Peet (formerly of Asia de Cuba, Café des Artistes & Patroon) as Executive Chef for the revival of Tavern, who has reinvigorated the menu with creative takes on classic dishes.
