As 2017 gets ready to make its debut, Louisville is gearing up for a big night of exciting events, world-class cuisine and some serious fun. To help you sort through the seemingly endless sea of options, we’ve put together a list of the top New Year’s Eve events in Louisville to make it easy if you’re still trying to decide what to do, OR if you are hoping to make an appearance at more than one party before we ring in 2017.
Belle of Louisville/Spirit of Jefferson NYE Dinner Cruise: 5 p.m.
Celebrate the last day of 2016 with a special New Year’s Eve dinner cruise on the scenic Ohio River aboard the Belle of Louisville / Spirit of Jefferson. Tickets are $54.74 per person and that includes a dinner buffet, cruise and a DJ.
New Year’s Eve Excursion 2017 on My Old Kentucky Dinner Train: 5 p.m.
Enjoy a 2 ½ hour train ride and a four-course gourmet meal aboard My Old Kentucky Home Dinner Train. The special New Year’s Eve excursion also includes live music, a bar and one bottle of champagne per couple, along with two souvenir champagne flutes. Tickets are $109.95 + tax per person.
New Year’s Eve at the English Grill: 5 p.m.
Toast to 2017 while enjoying world-class cuisine at the English Grill, located in Louisville’s famed Brown Hotel. Choose between a three-course dinner for $75 with seating at 5:30 p.m. or a five-course meal for $125 that starts at 8:30.
New Year’s Eve Live from the Plaza at Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport Expo Center: 7 p.m.
Celebrate the New Year at Louisville’ Crowne Plaza Hotel and Louisville Airport Expo Center, featuring V-Groove! Deluxe overnight package includes accommodations for two with late checkout, dancing and live music, casino prizes, a prime rib dinner buffet, four drink tickets, a champagne toast at midnight, cash bar and a New Year’s Day breakfast for two. Starting at $299.
Neon NYE Party at the Galt House Hotel: 7 p.m.
Go back to the future and come decked out in your best 80’s neon fashions while you dance the night away to 80s tribute band Bueller and rock out to DJ Havok. An appetizer welcome reception begins at 7 p.m. followed by a themed buffet, champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight in the Grand Ballroom. Cash bar and party favors also provided. Win prizes for best dressed. General admission is $125, or upgrade to VIP for just $75 more (VIP includes 4 drink tickets, a New Year’s Day Brunch and valet parking.
New Year’s Eve at 4th Street Live: 8 p.m.
As one of the largest New Year’s Eve events in Louisville, NYE Live! at 4th Street Live features music from 100% Poly, confetti canons, a balloon drop, party favors and the only ball drop in town. Tickets are $60-$175 and include exclusive access to six bars and clubs, as well as an all-inclusive drink package. #NYELiveKY
2017 New Year’s Eve Celebration at Hyatt Regency Louisville: 8 p.m.
Ring in 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Louisville’s first annual Black & White Affair New Year’s Eve Celebration, billed as “the most sophisticated 30& over NYE party in the south for mature professionals and entrepreneurs.” Featuring live music by Carri McMullan & the Unxpectants, ticket prices range between $40 and $60.
91.9 WFPK Tiki Surf Party on New Year’s Eve at Headliners Music Hall: 9 p.m.
Join 91.9 WFPK DJ Matt Anthony and Woodrow on the Radio who will be spinning wax, while Jaxon Lee Swain and surf rock band Inertia will provide live music, with guest vocalists Cheyenne Mize and Christy O’Connell. Tickets are just $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
