Historic Downtown New Albany

Similar to many downtowns across America, Downtown New Albany is now alive with new businesses, restaurants and retail stores. In the past five years more than 90 new businesses have moved into downtown New Albany and the vast majority of those businesses are locally owned and operated.

This downtown features a great mix of contemporary styles and cuisines while incorporating its 19th Century
charm. The streets are now bustling with excitement and all of the many new businesses are thriving.

The focus among the retail stores, restaurants, wineries and craft breweries is on locally sourced ingredients. This
is a perfect spot for a well prepared and relaxing meal and for any necessary retail therapy as many fine boutique
shops and galleries line the streets.

The arts community here is very active and local museums feature the works of local artists and the annual
Public Art Project promotes local art, as well. The New Albany riverfront is another bustling hub of activity featuring outdoor concerts and several family events throughout the year.

The New Albany Farmers Market has been a community event since 1820. You’ll find at least 60 local vendors
offering their products. It is a social gathering not to be missed and the second largest Farmers Market in the
Louisville area.

Conveniently located just a few miles from downtown Louisville, New Albany is a perfect compliment to any visit
and is a fine way to spend your afternoon or evening. There are also many festivities scheduled throughout the year that you may find interesting.
