Held each year on Memorial Day weekend, the Taste of Cincinnati food festival began in 1979 as a one-day festival in Piatt Park, which was known as Garfield Park at the time, drawing just 5,000 visitors.

When is Taste of Cincinnati 2017?

Fast-forward to 2017 and more than 550,000 people are expected to attend this year’s Taste of Cincinnati festival, which will take place Friday, May 27 through Sunday, May 29 on Fifth Street downtown at Fountain Square, sprawling from Vine Street to Sentinel.

In 2017, thirty-six restaurants and 15 food trucks will participate in the weekend bash, adding seven new restaurants and six new food trucks to the lineup. More than 60 bands and entertainers are also set to perform throughout the weekend on five stages. The Taste Experience is always a popular component of the festival, offering three-hour visits from more than 20 boutique restaurants and regional food purveyors.
