The building takes its name from Joseph T. Carew, proprietor of the Mabley & Carew department store chain, which had previously operated on the site until 1960.
Located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati is the famous Carew Tower. This art deco masterpiece was completed in 1930 and stand as Cincinnati’s second tallest building. It was the city’s tallest until 2010 when the Great American Tower at Queen
City Square was completed.
The tower is 49 stories tall and home to the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel as well as several unique retail stores and restaurants on the first and second floors. The observation deck, on the 49th floor, offers a spectacular view of downtown Cincinnati and the surrounding area.
With its central downtown location and enclosed layout, the Carew
Tower is a convenient stop for visitors looking for a comfortable retail therapy experience. The first and second floor are home to several exceptional and essential shops.
The Hunt Club, offering a complete selection of fine men’s clothing and well known brands, can be found in a central location on the ground floor. As a perfect compliment to any shopping experience, Paragon Salon has recently located to the ground floor and offers a full line of salon and spa services with convenient hours.
